I really enjoyed this book. I separated from the Navy in 2013 and started college a year later. I have always done well in school and I have a tremendous amount of self-discipline. However, college is a completely different kind of animal. Thomas does a great job of explain things in a relatable manner without being condescending. I believe his advice would be useful for anyone who is trying to be successful not just those in college.

After returning to the classroom to teach a college freshman success course, I soon realized that I was ill-prepared to instruct a room full of tech savvy students on the latest & greatest study strategy apps. I did my research and quickly discovered Mr. Frank's youtube channel and this book.I have decided to use his resources for supplemental instruction by incorporating the videos and self-management tools into the college freshman success courses, tutoring program, as well as, the peer-mentoring program this semester. Even though I’ve been out of college a looong time I read this to see if I could help my son be more organized with his schoolwork. Or at least start taking his education more seriously. (Mind you he’s only in 4th Grade so I’m starting a little early.) This book had really great tips and now I’m a subscriber to the author’s YouTube channel too. Thanks so much! This is it! One of best books for college students. I just discovered it two weeks before my son started his freshman year. I would recommend that a high school junior or senior start implementing some of the practices discussed in the book. They will hit the ground running. The advice is very practical. The recommendations in this book come from research and experience. Mr. Frank has done his research into learning and procrastination and he shares the results of his labors with the reader. From his personal accounts, you can tell that he followed his own advice during his college education. The book gives recommendations for helpful apps-both iOS and Android apps. Anyone who advises a student to use Evernote knows what he is talking about. The book's aim is to reduce the "friction" in getting your work done so that you can do some of the important nonacademic activities of college: exercising, socializing, participating in organizations, etc.Mr. Frank wants to write an entire book about procrastination. I will purchase it.

This such a clear, straight-to-the-point book, the kind I personally appreciate. Shows how to optimize your study time by prioritizing tasks and adopting invaluable strategies to reaching marvelous results.

All while writing in a way that appeals to that age group, making concepts easy to understand, and making them applicable to daily life. By the time we actually arrived in Suriname we felt like we had a solid understanding of the country, culture, and more important, what we wanted to see and do while there. We were well prepared and relied heavily on the guidance provided in the book.

This is a good travel guide, and, suitably for the destination, puts emphasis on nature. E.g., the tips about independent travel to Brownsberg were very useful. It is also a good source of information about remote sites only practically accessible through tour operators, although some (like Kaiser Mountains or Tafelberg) are hardly mentioned. I have have one serious complaint about the Kindle edition: the maps are so small that any lettering is completely unreadable - and, at least in my android Kindle version, it is not possible to enlarge the images.

Is not of the quality and information level as travel guides from Dorling Kindersley.More illustrations and maps are needed.Many maps are completely un-readable in the e-book version due to very small text (maps can not be enlarged)

Nothing else like it as a current guide to the country.

Excellent, comprehensive guide in a little known area of the world. Suriname is not an easy place to travel, even as very seasoned travelers in remote areas of the globe. This guide was very welcome.

Also a crime is committed while they are in jail but never explained nor did the Garda seem to care. The characters speak like it is 1955. Not at all plausible.

Maureen and Mick do it again. A postman is murdered while delivering a large amount of cash for dispersal to pensioners.

Great characters. The plot twists. The writing is strong giving you a visual of the Irish countryside

Holly Lewis did an excellent job synthesizing debates and the history of ideas between and within queer theory, Marxism, and feminism, as well as the historico-material reality of sex and gender. Highly recommend.

For me in the 1990s the novels were an already antique account of fifty Americans fifty Soviets, born in the 1980s, all scientists, deliberately screened of any politics, who journey about ten years from now to the Red planet which they turn Green then Blue over two hundred years while replicating the whole span of human thought about governance in a world overtaken by capital.Vladimir and Edmund and George and Fred and Kim and I all knew dozens of people from all over the world who had lived some great 20C adventure of trying to make life better for all, for everyone, all the time. Things have so changed for better and worse that you may not know any at all.I am not entirely sure that this woman Holly Stevens, if that is how she lives, really knows that many old-timers especially foreigners. But her command of ideas, engaging with those of others to state her own, is bracing.The reader is right there on the train with her rolling to meet history. I myself am an ideologist of capital, a liberal, an anti-communist, a second-wave feminist at best, impatient with queers who dress and talk alike and ascribe all manner of meaning to my personal appearance and choice of word.But this author and I are squarely on the same page, talking about things as they are. Her sections on what Richard Rorty could possibly be talking about and likewise post-colonialists are like listening to myself in much better humor.The book ends with a call for solidarity that is both with those you disagree with about this and that and against those you must together deal with now in order to survive, leaving no one excluded or ignored whether as friend or foe. Terrific book.

Lewis takes a thorough understanding of Marxism and projects it through very readable text to illuminate the intersectional nature of the title concepts. In particular this text is helpful discourse for the transgender community looking to understand intersectional and class contexts.
