Well exhaustive is an understatement! Wooooooooo, everything is in here for sure! I'm glad I have it, but it can be overwhelming to use if you do not fully know a verse. Wish it had a CD with it :) I find that my Topical Bible I also got from Amazon actually helps me more. But I can not knock this by any means. A great source of information - just be prepared to get alot of it! Miles of pages that start with faith, Thee, etc. if you get the picture :)

This is a WONDERFUL concordance. Our Pastor required us to get a Strong's Concordance and a Vines Dictionary. So I decided to search Amazon for the books and long behold I came across this awesome book and it had it all in one which is amazing. This book is a size of a school text book. If you are willing to learn of Gods Word even the better. Don't let the size discourage but encourage you to buy. The print is small so for those that have trouble reading small print I would suggest a full page magnifying sheet to make it easier on the eyes. I have ordered several of this book for members of my local congregation as well. I intend on ordering more. I attend a Bible based Christ Center, Holy Ghost led Sabbath Keeping church. Here is where we learn, study and search the Word of God. So this Concordance/Dictionary will help us grow stronger and dig deeper into the Bible.

Do not waste your money on this greatly truncated version of the original full sized Strong's concordance. The paper is embarrassingly cheap and the citations poorly condensed. I know this because I have the full version and compared them side to side.Stick with the original, I immediately returned this one.

Here is a short simple review on (The New Strong's Expanded Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible) (Red-Letter Edition)As a Student of not only the bible, but also the original languages. I must say i am simply amazed at this version of Strongs, and not only the product, but also these sellers. i got it even days before i was supposed to always a plus. that about covers my happiness with the sellers, although i still feel i am not giving them the justice they deserve. but now onto the product itself, it is a hard back which i usually can not stand, but for something even this thick it works. this strongs is done in easy laid out sections. it gives you an introduction, how to use etc, then goes into a concordance of all the words used in the KJV, also other translations as i was suprised a added bonus not mentioned. from the concordance it then goes into the strongs number section of Hebrew, then Greek, respectfully. and yet another awesome bonus not in many Strongs, is not only the words of our Lord in red (although all of the word of God is inspired of course) but the cool addition of some of vines best Definitions of not only the english but also on the hebrew and greek. there is also a complete topical index to the bible i did not know i was getting which is great, a chart of the harmony of the gospels, Teachings and illustrations of Christ,The parables of Jesus Christ, The laws of the bible, Prayers of the bible, the Jewish calendar, Jewish feasts, Monies and weights, New testament monies,Measures of length, Dry measures and liquid measures. for thosee that took the time to read this, thank you and God bless. i was trying to write a review quickly, so i apologize for missing pronunctiation and spacing etc. but wanted to get it all in. what you will get with this awesome addition for pastors, and students alike.in Christbrother Travis.

I was not expecting the text to be so small. I will need a magnifying glass to even read the text so I do no think it will be useful to me because I can't read it.

Be advised that the print font is so small that the only way to make out the writing is with reading glasses AND a magnifying glass. Font is also very light, you would go blind trying to use this book. Very disappointed that this fact was not included in the item description along with a sample of the font. I requested a return after 5 minutes of looking at it. Terrible, should have been 2 volumes.

Hippo Books did not say that this is an edition that does not include Hebrew or Greek and that is not numerically coded for cross-reference. Maybe Hippo Books is ignorant of the requirements of scholarly research or they don't know their product. Caveat emptor. So, not being a Xtian I didn't know this product either (my bibles are in Hebrew and Greek and I have those lexica in my memory- nevertheless this type of "popular edition" version just adds a few steps to my research which I can live with. But this still gets an overall ONE rating for poor product and service. Took an overly and unusual long time to arrive by the way. This version also leaves out articles, clitics, common conjunctions and prepositions-and adverbs- what if I want to look up passages like " 'a' certain man"? That passage when it appears is CRITICAL; in the Hebrew, it reads "ish ehkhad" which is indicative of something VERY significant and history-changing about to happen. The word "ehkhad" ("one") which is omitted from this poor excuse of a watered-down make-it-too-easy agenda of lack of scholarship, is among the 168 words omitted. Further to the point, there are 40 more words like "Moses", "Aaron", "Israel", "holy", son", "servant", "God", "Jesus" and others that are "condensed by retaining the MORE IMPORTANT PASSAGES" [emphasis mine] to the exclusion of others. The words for "Jesus" in the Old Testament are, again, critical to some passages. Avoid this edition. At all costs. This one goes into a box at the back of a closet. Get the heavy, large "exhaustive" concordance instead.

I bought this for my son who is in prison. You might think this is a bad thing, but God has given my son a ministry from the inside out. When God is finished with him he will come out. He has led 10 men to Christ so far. He said it was the best concordance and it has helped him to bring the light to the Gospel in a greater way.Patricia Menville

This book is sure to inspire all who can identify and all who just could use a look into the reality to traumatic childhood experiences. The story setting takes place in rural Saskachewan. Why parents and other trusted adults in a child's life abuse are many. Often parents in past generations made mistakes, abusers were abused by trusted adults or piers, traumatized in war time service, alcoholic, or just had their own mental problems. Whatever the reasons, past people and causes can not be changed, good people like this author tell how to recover and make a new life and not let the problem affect the children.

The author claims she has multiple personalities or dissociative personality disorder, but her facts many times contradict themselves. For instance she says at one point that these things transpired before the Internet however her and her husband both had cell phones. She also convemiently only blacked out as these other "alters" and did irresponsible things and ended up hundreds of miles from home when her young son just " happened" to be safely staying at a friends house. I've studied this disorder and those with it live very chaotic lives and their families are very much affected by the destructive behavior it comes with. It just sounded very contrived. It wasn't bad as a work of fiction it just wasn't believable. She also says in one chapter that she's all but excommunicated from her church for her actions on a church comittee she was involved in, yet in another chapter she mentions the few people that were still talking to her from the church as beimg her greatest supports. I just didn't buy it as truthful and was very disappointed in the book.

Very interesting to see how complex a mind can be, to see how the mind can protect you, a defense mechanism that many people don't think you have, but you do, and to hope that you never have to use it because you would have to be faced with such unthinkable acts of violence and trauma before this defense mechanism "kicks in". It was very interesting to meet all 5 of her very distinctly different personalities, each with their areas of expertise in managing every aspect of her life, all with one goal in mind, to protect the core. If you want a better understanding of how someone copes with living with multiple personalities or if you just want to be entertained by the personalities "personalities" then I suggest you read this book, you won't want to put it down, I know I didn't want to.

I couldn't put this book down! An inside look at the life of an abused child and how the mind protects this child from the reality of horrific abuse. But as an adult how the alters can make life unbearable and frightening. Multiples and abused children are close to my heart as I too suffered severely in my childhood. Congratulations on recovery I know it is a long, painful journey. But one well worth taking. Will add this book to my collection. Absolutely amazing story and my heart goes out to Christine!

Wow. What a woman. This book is good not just for married women (or married people), although if you are a woman in an unhappy marriage, this could be extremely helpful for you. This book is good for ALL Christians, married and unmarried, male and female. This woman is clearly a saint, and she shares what is essentially the secret of life for all of us: dying to self for the good of the other. Don't miss this story.

I love this book.. I have read it once, but decided to read it again.. The second time around has even caught my deeper attention stronger than the first time I read it..I am so amazed at what deep love and faith Elisabeth Leseur grew into as she continued her prayers and asking God for greater faith, love and humility.Her writings have given me greater courage to act upon my own faith, and trust deeper in God for all that I think I need, and what I truly need as He knows it. Also, to rely on Him for my future regardless of how it turns out.I've discovered even more deeply, by reading this book, that God is truly faithful and when things don't go the way I think they should go, that I can trust that it is His divine Will, and I can relax in peace knowing that.If someone is longing for a deeper faith journey, I strongly recommend this book.If someone is an atheist or agnostic, I strongly encourage them to read this book. An autobiographical treasure that reveals a life lived so sweet and simply for the goodness and benefit of others that literally changed lives through the sacrifices and sufferings which Elizabeth Leseur offered up. Her practical admonitions are simple but certainly require Grace to be lived out!The prologue by her spouse is as much a treasure to read as her own work. It is a true life story that paints a picture of love lived out to the fullest!

I can not say enough good things about this book. Elizabeth seems like the woman friend that I've never had. She's a real person, with all the faults and foibles that come with that condition, yet she manages to become a truly great example of what it means to live as a Christian. Can't wait to get to heaven (with the help of this book) so I can meet the author in person!

A very deep, thoughful, inspiring book. It dives deep into a soul in love with God. I highly recommend this book especially if you’re suffering in a difficult relationship with your spouse. She learned, by God’s grace, to offer herself completely to God to convert her husband. This book takes you through all her sacrifices & penances. Beautiful & inspiring.

Really overpriced. This woman was definitely holy but I just don't care for how her husband comes across, before and after his conversion. Maybe just me.

There are many excellent books written about Catholic Christian spirituality by saints who were priests, monks or religious sisters. "The Secret Diary of Elisabeth Leseur" is unique because it is the spiritual diary writings of a married woman. There are many married women today seeking holiness in their lives as wives and mothers. This is a book for them! They will find profound and useful spiritual direction in the words of Elisabeth Leseur, whose love for God gave her a steadfast, faithful and fruitful love for her husband. I can't recommend this book highly enough to women who are seeking holiness in their vocation of marriage.

Very beautiful and poetic writing. I find it inspiring. Good reading to draw one nearer to God and reflect on how all our actions and thoughts should be made for His glory....even if not noticed by others.

The vegetable recipes in this book a not appealing at all!

Pimento cheese & and buffalo cauliflower recipes are to die for. Looking forward to the brocoli cheese fritters.

I was really excited about this book. As a vegetarian, I was really thinking these would be some great recipes for side dishes or maybe even main dishes. As I was given this book for free in exchange for a review, I didn't have anything to lose by trying out some new recipes. Except most of them contain meat. These recipes are presented as a way to stop hating vegetables, but the solution to hating vegetables for several of these recipes seems to be add bacon. While that's okay for most people, as a vegetarian, it just doesn't work out. Leaving the bacon and other meats out results in flavorless recipes that need a lot of work.I gave it three stars because the recipes seem sound for non-vegetarians, but I wish the book had beem more up front about the inclusion of meat.

The title of this book, as well as the thought of learning new ideas about cooking vegetables, prompted me to investigate this cookbook. I was not disappointed. Where do I start? First of all, I like that it is geared towards people who are gluten-free. Many vegetable recipes are inherently GF, but this book gives you the ingredients you need to make it so...if it is not. I am GF and these recipes are right on track. The "Frequently Asked Questions" section was good. I would only add that caution with BPA-lined cans is something to consider, as well as sodium in shopping for canned vegetables. Some other good things in this book are offering substitution suggestions when something may not be available; the "know your ingredients" sections after recipes that may have an ingredient you are unfamiliar with, such as aquafaba, black radishes, and tahini; suggestions to use up leftovers from your recipes, such as: "5 Ways to Use Cucumber Raita" and "5 Ways to Use Cooked Collard Greens"; and good explanations of cooking methods, such as explaining that "slightly thickened" is the consistency of real maple syrup and giving the size of a baking dish as "2-quart", rather than just saying a "medium size dish". All of these things help to make a cook that is not as familiar with cooking be able to have better success.I wanted to make more than the three recipes that I tested this week, but I ended up making the Fried Okra, Roasted Yellow Squash, and the Garlic Cheddar Biscuit-Topped Vegetable Pot Pie. I didn't really need a recipe for the okra, but I followed this one since I was testing and I had fresh okra from the garden. I am not used to putting flour in with the cornmeal, but that was fine. What did not turn out as I was expecting was no liquid added to the okra to help the coating adhere. So I would say that the okra turned out edible....we ate it all...but a lot of the breading was lost in the bowl since it did not make it to the frying pan. The squash recipe was so simple, yet fabulous. I had never really thought of roasting summer squash. Probably because I avoid things that heat up the oven in the summer, but this was worth it. Very tasty and it would be delicious on a veggie sandwich. I made the Pot Pie for supper tonight and have mixed feelings on it. I cut the recipe in half, but did not halve the seasoning and I still think it needed more flavor. True that seasoning is an individual thing and others may think it is fine. I thought it was a bit bland, but then I remind myself that Pot Pie is a comfort food and I do think this recipe would fit that bill. Another thing that surprised me was how much the crust puffed up. It was not all that thick when I put it on top of the filling, but it was very thickly layered when it was finished baking. My tasters liked it OK, but agreed that they would like a little more flavor.I plan on making more recipes from this helpful cookbook when the vegetables come in season. I am especially looking forward to trying the Baked Sriracha Sweet Potato Fries and the Brown Butter Lemon Roasted Brussels Sprouts.After reviewing this book and testing some of the recipes, I would give it 4 1/2 stars and recommend it to people looking for some more ways to eat their vegetables....whether they have a lot of cooking experience, or not so much.I was given a copy of this book to review and all the opinions are mine alone.

This cookbook is getting a five star review from me for a number of different reasons. I've lately reviewed a bunch of different cookbooks on things as varied as InstaPot cooking and Keto diets, but this one is the sort of cookbook that will appeal to just about anyone who has children of ANY age who wrinkle their nose at vegetables. Everyone does, including some adults I know.Let me say, before I forget, that I received a copy of this book from Hidden Gems. This review is in my own words and quite voluntary.The first thing I noticed is that, interspersed with the recipes, are "know your ingredients" notes. In that explanation, you learn a lot about the ingredient that you will be using. For example, I'd never used chick pea flour, so the explanation of how it is made and why I was using it, was extremely helpful. Tahini, which I use often, and usually have trouble finding, is defined and used within this cookbook.But the real reason it got the five stars is because the recipes were easy to follow and delicious to eat. Out of the book, I made: Zucchini fries, Grape Tomato Blue Cheese Crostini (yep, I know that doesn't sound but it was freaking delicious), Creamy Tomato Artichoke dip, and Garlic Cheddar Bisquit Topped Vegetable Pot Pie, as well as California Broccoli Salad. As I was making these, I found that everything in the instructions was accurate, I was able to follow along and I did not run into phrases or instructions that I could not understand. I also appreciated the gluten-free aspect. Most of the recipes contained therein are gluten-free, and the ones that aren't? The author has given you to methods to use to MAKE the recipe gluten-free. In this day and age, help like that is most appreciated.The only drawback of this book is the lack of pictures in the Kindle version. This may be different with other versions, and that is why I'm not deducting a star because of it. BUT, even without the pictures, the dishes I tried turned out very well, were delicious, and were well-enjoyed.Over all I would recommend this cookbook to anyone who wants a great list of vegetable dishes that can be prepared successfully and do not require anyone to be a chef to do it.

I recieved an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.I really loved this cookbook! I am not a veggie hater by any means and my husband and I eat a Whole Foods Plant Based diet. However, my aforementioned husband is NOT a veggie lover. There's only about 7 vegetables he eats regularly.This cookbook has given me some very tasty ideas as to how to add in more veggies my husband will more than likely eat.Not to mention, when all you eat is plants, it is quite simple to fall into a routine and I am always looking for appetizing recipes to spice up the weekly menu. The I Hate Vegetables Cookbook has solved my boring menu problem for the time being! I will be adding quite a few recipes to my arsenal!I especially liked the way the recipes were layed out and my most favorite feature was the "Know your ingredients" portions.

The book debunks any idea that polygamy as practiced in the U.S. is a "quaint lifestyle choice," or that the instances of abuse are rare.

I had high hopes for this book with its creepy name.....but the vinnette like stories are not very salacious, nor are they tear jerkers as promised, It WAS, interesting to find out about the myriad of Groups(cults) , that call themselves a “” religion””.They like to think that “ Their god”, holds absolute dominion over each other. What it boils down to is that men? Want, want, want.....Sex. And lots”! Of it. With little, to NO regard for their multiple mates, some “”” wives”””, are 13 years old, rampant, birth defects, stillborns and malnourished kids n moms.But no matter how miserable these “ plural” wivesFeel, it will just not be of any concern to the husband and his obvious, addiction to Good, old... SEX! Little girls in almost all the Cults, are groomed to be sister-wives, homemakers and slave labor for their (non) chosen Cult. Almost ALL the females in the stories, are simply born to breed. As soon as ya get your period, your fate is sealed, pun intendedWomen, in these false prophet cults are powerless to fight back because they are barely educated and taught to hate outsiders. We? Are the apostates. When u never see the internet, read books n magazines or own a TV, you pretty much are already being molded into a Stepford like existence, just like the cult, wants u to be.Stockholm Syndrome, anyone?I just wanted MORE, from the promises the prologue hinted at. The stories, are one dimensional, too. A lot of them cover almost the same formula. Pre!dictable!I DID learn about The philosophies these Cults, espouse, though. And the women in this book are prime, yet sad reminders of letting someone..... convince u that u aren’t ****, unless u have THEIR set of beliefs. Moore-Emmett was accused by some reviewers of having a bias against polygamy, but—for the most part, this "marriage" of many women to one man, and the various religious groups that practice it has earned the negative perspective. I am trying hard to recall the title of any book that extols polygamy as a healthy lifestyle for women, their children, or even the men involved in it. Moore Emmett provides several accounts of women who have lived in polygamous communities as children and as adults practicing the lifestyle. Not all the groups were fundamentalist Mormons. The stories are somewhat repetitive but that isn't surprising.If I had any criticism of this book it would be of the cover design, with the small girl in a short white dress. It does not represent polygamy as I understand it.

Despite the sensational title, this short book has some redeeming qualities. It tells, briefly, the stories of several women who, either from birth, or by some later choice, were involved in polygamous sects. This book gives the broad strokes of a few of the more notorious cult-like "families" . The stories may have been selected for their sensational nature about a very sad way of life for too many children.

This is about Bible-based fundamentalist polygamy. This is a hot topic associated with the current best seller Escape and also Jon Krakauer sensational Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith. Those books convey polygamy is a euphemism for cults that promote child rape and women enslavement.The author discloses a map showing Mormons and Christian fundamentalist polygamist communities spread all over the U.S. and Mexico. Some members live in major cities besides Salt Lake City such as Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Sacramento. Fundamentalists LDS (Mormons following the original scriptures of Joseph Smith) are fragmented among tens of groups. Those groups split apart to create new groups in other areas. They are lead by self appointed leaders who claim being direct descendents of either Joseph Smith or Jesus.These self-proclaimed prophets are delusional. They rewrite the history of the world to fit their mad self glorification (pg 157). They have apocalyptic visions of the return of Christ. Some proclaim communicating with beings from other planets (pg 156). Others lead anti-government militia and believe the government controls the weather (pg. 169). A few have been arrested and placed in azylum.Groups splitting results from rivalries. A rival breaks away from a group to start his own, declares himself a prophet. The splitting gets violent with killings under the guise of religious "blood atonement." Such killings are also aimed at members trying to escape.The author suggests that the ills of fundamentalist polygamy emanate from Joseph Smith scriptures. She quotes his `Doctrine and Covenants': "And if he have ten virgins..., he cannot commit adultery, for they belong to him,... if one... of the ten virgins..., shall be with another man, she has committed adultery, and shall be destroyed..." Those words engendered communities that both the author and Jon Krakauer compare to the Taliban.The author covers the history of the Mormon Church and how mainstream Mormons renounced polygamy only under military attacks from the Feds. To this day she indicates that in Utah State and police authorities make efforts to avoid prosecuting polygamy and related crimes (child molesting and rape, etc...). As polygamists referring to Utah authorities say "That prosecution dog don't hunt."Such communities are disasters for males too. If the average male has 5 wives, this means 80% of the males are ousted to maintain this unnatural 5-to-1 female/male multiple. What happens to the 80% of males? The author states on page 50 "they are driven away... [or] stay to become worker bees ... or they die mysteriously." On page 181, she reiterates how they die mysteriously of car accidents on rural roads with no traffic.Such societies are disasters for children. They are deprived from descent education, nutrition, and parenting. They are exploited as child labor to work for free for the businesses managed by those communities. The level of child abuse, beating, molestation, pedophilia, sodomy of young boys, and rape is sickening. On pg. 171: "My father began raping me when I was eight years old. My mother sexually abused all of us..." Herpes among very young children related to sexual abuse is common. Girls as young as nine are ordered to marry relatives sometimes in their fifties. They bear children soon after risking their own lives in the process. They never receive adequate medical care. They are taken out of school at a young age to ensure their total economic dependence.From a genetic standpoint, this lifestyle is insane. The level of in-breeding through inter-marriages is unprecedented in the U.S. The rate of Down syndrome, autism, dwarfism, and deformities in many of those communities is sky high. Down Syndrome is hoped for by expectant parents because such individuals are compliant and bring in larger government benefits (pg. 173). Community leaders attribute those deformities as God's punishments to wives that have not been subservient. They don't know that procreating through incest, uncle and nieces, and brothers and sisters is not good.The health of women is entirely subjugated to procreation. Women are ordered to produce a child per year regardless of their health condition. Women often have more than 10 children with little means to support any. On page 126, a testimonial describes a woman dying of brain cancer who gave birth against the advice of the doctors. She died during childbirth. Child birth is undertaken without any descent health care support. On page 136: "Brenda's pregnancy ended in miscarriage, and she hemorrhaged for four hours with out any medical attention." Treatment of women amounts to persecution (pg. 163: `Her husband had mutilated her genitals ... with fishing wire.'From an economic standpoint, those communities are failures. They live in some form of totalitarian communism whereby all economic resources and assets are owned by the Church. The individual laborers (mainly wives and children) keep nothing. Economic subsistence is solely reliant on State and Federal subsidies. Those communities are all adept in extracting the maximum government benefits totaling in the hundreds of millions of dollars. And, they are proud of this feat. They call it "bleeding the beast" as an effort to bring the government down.The testimonials of the 18 women who survived polygamy are nauseating. This passage comes to mind: `When Laura was four, one of her stepbrothers tied her to a bedpost and attempted to rape her... After I was crying, my father told me he would slap me until I stopped crying, which he proceeded to do... My mother made herself busy in the kitchen so she wouldn't have to watch." Another passage: `on her 16th birthday, her father took her for a ride in his Cadillac because it was time for her "Sexuality Lesson."The book gives you much more in depth info that I don't come close to cover. This is an important book to read for anyone interested on the subject.
